How do I export just my vocals?
in the Recordings view, slide the fader all the way to the right before sending the track.
Sometimes my vocals are outta sync with the beats– I swear it’s not me!
No, I believe you (really). We’ve found an issue where in some cases the recorded vocals don’t sync up with the beat & are working on a fix.
I can’t hear anything! / Why do I need a headset with a mic to use this with the iPod touch?
The day we submitted Freestyle to the App Store, Apple released the 3.1.2 software for iPhones and iPod Touches. Audio playback was working fine on iPod Touches even with regular headsets (no mics) plugged in but something in that update seems to have changed the way in which audio is handled… so if you’re on an iPod touch with the latest software, we’ve got a fix in the works but in the meantime you’ll need to use the headset mic to hear things.
Why are the files so big / why does it take so long to email?
Freestyle intentionally records your vocals at high quality so they sound as good as they can be– but the problem is the iPhone has very limited (and confusing) issues with compressing that audio to make it quicker to send. We’re working on some clever workarounds for the next versions, but in the meantime, it’s best to send your recordings when you’re on a WiFi network.
Where’s the Android version?
